Since its introduction into the UK back in 2001, Mosella has mainly been recognised as a bait company, with England international Steve Gardener putting his vast experience and knowledge into selecting and blending a range of groundbaits for the UK market. This range continues to be one of our top sellers.

Competing against the likes of Steve and many of the best anglers in the country, I realised that a lot of the tackle items that were available could either be improved or totally redesigned, so I started to get involved with tackle development.

I must confess that this is the part of the business I enjoy the most and anybody who knows me will tell you that I strive for perfection in whatever I get involved with, so designing fishing tackle to meet my expectations was definitely a challenge for all involved.

It became apparent after a short time how many items of tackle were designed by people who had no practical experience of fishing, so a combination of my angling experience, my hands on approach and the support of the Mosella technical department gave me the opportunity to design and develop quality tackle that is fit for purpose.

Many of you probably use the now established Band a Bait tool and the F1 Micro bands. This product, like much of our range has been developed out of frustration, it’s a simple solution to a common problem, and as we all know simple is best!

The Prestige Luggage Collection has taken over 18 months from the drawing board through to being launched on to the market and the feedback we have received has been fantastic, with many anglers describing it as the best luggage they have ever used. The attention to even the smallest detail and the use of the best quality components is what makes us stand out from all the other designs that other manufacturers we are producing.

Design and field testing is an expensive but necessary operation with attention to detail paramount, but it is the only way to produce a product that will function properly and not let you down.

We will continue to be innovative in the true sense and only produce products that have a purpose and are built to last.
